Food Master Tajikistan
Food Master recently celebrated their 10th anniversary of franchising with Southern Fried Chicken. They opened as a single site franchisee back in 2006, followed by store two in 2010 and store three in 2014. In September 2016 they opened their fourth restaurant in Dushanbe Mall.
Food Master is now the biggest fast food restaurant operator in Dushanbe and are working hard to keep ahead of the ever- growing competition. They recently moved into dedicated offices large enough to accommodate the entire team and their expanding portfolio of franchises with space for additional growth.
Southern Fried Chicken is proud to have worked alongside the team at Food Master and to have supported them over the last 10 years of delivering international standards of quality, service and cleanliness in all their restaurants.
Zak Al Marstani – Bournemouth
Zak has been serving Southern Fried Chicken for over 6 years. As one of our most successful franchisees Zak epitomises the type of businessperson that SFC love to work with. A chef by trade he maintains the high standards that customers expect and deserve and his excellent staff provide consistent freshly prepared food every day. After many years of success Zak adopted the new branding in 2010 and saw a 40% increase in sales as a result. This increase in sales has now prompted Zak into opening his second and third locations; he is carefully considering strategic positioning for planned launch in 2014 and 2015.
Joe Labella – Norwich
After many years working in the food industry, Jo Labella bought his first SFC in 2012 and opened in the Castle Mall in Norwich as an addition to his portfolio of other global brands. Two years on and the food court location has seen consistent growth and he is now planning a prime High Street location and further expansion in the region.
Very much a family concern the group of restaurants owned by Joe operate to an incredibly high standard and are monitored closely by his sons who ensure optimum operational control.
Murat Dincay – Helsinki
Murat has operated under the Southern Fried Chicken name for nearly 20 years. Originally a licensee he rebranded his food court and main street locations in 2010 as further commitment to the SFC brand. The decision to start a chicken brand in Finland was a bold one in the 1990’s but after spending the first part of his life in the corporate world Murat used his business qualifications and experience to develop a sustainable business model in the Finnish market.
The food court was relocated in 2013 from the basement of the mall to a new upper level eatery area after a 40 million Euro improvement to the premium shopping facility.
Both locations are most definitely prime on the busy Mannerheimintie, the equivalent of London’s Oxford Street.
Alendvic – Perm
The largest single operator under the SFC brand is Russia’s Alendvic who opened their first restaurant in the city of Perm in 2000. The principal Alexander Nikiforov has since opened over 30 SFC Restaurants in and around the Perm region and employs over 2,500 people in the company.
The group started in 1993 with Kodak Express and after Baskin Robbins was added in 1998, the partnership with SFC has since led to other brands being added to compliment the complete franchise offering with standalone pizza, coffee and sushi brands. In some locations, such as the prime shopping malls, Alendvic actually provide all of the six or so food options with SFC centre stage. Alendvic have prime main street restaurants that seat 200 people as well as custom built 40 seat kiosk styles adjacent to main roads.
With plans to expand and open upwards of 10 new restaurants a year Alendvic are on the brink of becoming a top five quick service restaurant in the whole of Russia with 75 company owned SFC’s planned in three years plus sub franchised locations.
Eno Edoigiawerie – Nigeria
After opening his first location in Nigeria and enjoying rapid success Eno acquired the Master Franchise for Nigeria in 2009 and has just opened his fifth company store with seven further locations identified for 2014 and 2015.
Every location requires considerable investment and the finished restaurants are usually two floors with seating for over 100 diners. Despite this success Eno is now established as the prime quick service chicken restaurant group in the country with sub-franchises already open.
IFS Global Ventures – Qatar
MD of IFS, William Aranha, has worked with SFC for nearly 20 years. He was a key member of the management team at the time when SFC operating in the UAE were approved licensees. He took the Master Franchise for Qatar in 2009 and has since opened nine restaurants under the new brand.
With the 2022 World Cup the intention is to triple the number of restaurants by the time the first ball is kicked at the tournament.
